MARA RIVER TENTED CAMP

MARA RIVER TENTED CAMP

MARA RIVER TENTED CAMP Overview

Deep within the northern Serengeti, Singita Mara River Tented Camp offers perfect luxury from which to witness the Great Migration and to explore the more remote corners of Serengeti National Park with one of the highest concentrations of wildlife. Singita Mara River Tented Camp seeks to minimize their impact on their rich biodiverse eco- surroundings and relies on a custom designed solar system for its power and the use of recycled and natural materials wherever possible. Inside the camp, afro-bohemian chic sets the tone for cool relaxation, where spun natural fabrics, canvas, stone and raw leather blend with Maasai primary colours and elegant art pieces by young African designers and craftsmen.

This lavish camp comprises ten extremely spacious safari tents, each with a double bed and en suite bathroom. Two of these, known as the family tents, comprise two tents joined by a short covered walkway with a shared deck. Each tent faces the majestic Mara River with an inside and outside rain shower. These gorgeous tents offer the impeccable quality you would expect from a ‘Singita’ property. All tents are equipped with standing fan, minibar, tea/coffee station, safe, bathroom amenities and game-viewing deck. A warm shower early in the morning before a game drive and an inviting bathtub outside so you can sit and watch the animals along the Mara River. Hot water bottles make your bed toasty warm in the cool night and the sound of the Wildebeest’s mooing lulling you to sleep.

Singita Mara River Tented Camp has much more to offer than a comfy bed and excellent safari experience. Enjoy a refreshing splash after an intriguing Serengeti safari in the camp’s plunge pool. Revive your body and mind with a spa treatment that can be performed in the tranquillity of the Spa therapy tent, out on your private deck, or in the comfort of your suite. With different areas to enjoy the beautifully displayed and – even more important – delicious food; breakfast, lunch and dinner are truly a feast. There is even complimentary internet (Wi-Fi) access, however, because of the remote location of the lodge, the wireless connection can be slow and intermittent. Gather around the bonfire at night, drinking cocktails and exchanging stories of your day in the bush with the other guests.
